Talisa Soto

Talisa Soto struck me to the core when I saw her in the 1989 James Bond film Licence to Kill. I love the late 80's wardrobe (basically obsessed with the once dreaded 80's), I love Talisa's short hair and extra thick eyeborows and those eyes that could burn holes right through you. Never before have I seen a more feline face (with the exception of Michelle Phillips, and even then they would be of differing pedigree/breeds), and with her striking part Italian/part Puerto Rican genetics, Talisa is one exotic mamacita.

Talisa features in Licence to Kill as Lupe Lamora, the mistress of South American drug lord Franz Sanchez. You get Lupe's bad ass vibe from the start when Franz walks in on her with another man in bed; and to play up on a psycho like Franz Sanchez this lady would have to have some serious audacity. I still don't understand why James Bond TURNS HER DOWN at the end of the film for Carey Lowell?!?
But anyway.

My boyfriend would be devastated if I didn't mention the fact Talisa also starred as Princess Kitana in the 1995 Mortal Kombat film, a la ...

And just for some bonus trivia, Talisa is now married to Benjamin Bratt of Demolition Man, Miss Congeniality and 1990's Law and Order fame (and former long-term boyfriend of Julia Roberts fame). It has to be said, the tanned and pretty pair of them do make a very cute couple (and I haven't Google-stalked their kids out of respect but I bet they are mighty cute too), as seen in 2004:

Yet I highly doubt anything could be much prettier than Talisa herself back in her hey-day as Lupe Lamora and a highly in demand 80's model:
